Do you offer mail subscriptions?

Not right now. Postage, delivery and printing costs have skyrocketed over the past few years. Right now, the cost of a home-delivery subscription is too expensive for most readers.

But you can pick up a free copy each month at more than 30 locations across the East Mountains, southern Santa Fe County and Torrance County.

How can I support independent, local journalism?

Great question!

We make the Indy free because we believe trustworthy local news is a community asset everyone should have access to, regardless of the ability to pay.

But we pay our reporters a fair wage and that takes money.

To fill the gap, we partner with Citizen Media Group, a local nonprofit, to accept donations that support our journalists. When you donate, just note in the “why you donated” box that your donation goes the The Independent!
