The Edgewood Police Department will distribute donated toys to families facing financial hardship this holiday season, the department announced on social media.

Parents can visit the police station to select one toy per child starting Monday, Dec. 15, through Friday, Dec. 19. The program will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day while supplies last.

The department has received several donations of new toys and will offer gift-wrapping services on site for families’ convenience.

The Edgewood Police Department is located at 21 Main St. in Edgewood. Parents with questions can call the department at 505-281-5717 during business hours.

The toy distribution is part of local law enforcement efforts to support community members during the Christmas season.
