The Town of Edgewood will host a series of holiday events as Christmas nears, including a toy drive with Santa photos, an ornament decorating workshop and a balloon glow festival.
The toy drive will take place Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to noon at Edgewood Town Hall, 171A N.M. 344. Residents can donate toys for local families during the holidays, and children will have the opportunity to take photos with Santa. The event is being organized in partnership with Santa Fe County Fire-EMS.
Later that day, the Edgewood Community Library at 171B N.M. 344 will host a holiday ornament decorating event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants can create festive ornaments for loved ones or themselves, with all supplies provided by the library.
The town’s holiday celebrations will continue Dec. 20 with the Holiday Balloon Glow from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Venus Park, 171 N.M. 344. The event, organized by the East Mountain Balloon Group, will feature illuminated hot air balloons along with music and food trucks.
All events are free and open to the public.
